REFLECTION: at first i was like why is this so hard!! and then once i got the hang of this i was like man this poem is so good all i needed to do was to was just post it onto my blog. anyways i hope you like my peom!

the duffy show!!

As soon as I step foot into the assembly on Monday I was shook, there was blocks stacked on blocks and three amazing actors. As soon everyone was quiet they started, they were introducing themselves sam, Duffy and kate, Sam was introducing herself but she was playing the game not making it interesting so then Duffy said “well bye!” Then they went behind the screens. at the start Duffy was playing the famous game named magic bricks, he said that he was working on his new book tips and tricks, for magic bricks created by Duffy. He had his head set on and playing with his cousin Sam. he said that he was going to meet sam soon in like three hours, time to go! Requested Duffy's mum. “Well better go bye!” Along trying to bring his bag of books with him. “Bye sweetie hope you have an amazing week!” Said duffy's mum and dad. As soon as he stepped foot into the house he was like “SAM!!!!” But she did nothing, so Duffy asked if she wanted to play some games he said “what should we do?” “Should we ride the bikes? Play tag, umm anything?!” sam got mad. “noooo! Look what you made me do the dismantler destroyed my really good tower!” and then she started to throw a tantrum. Duffy said “that it was just a game!” but sam didn't take it she was said “you don't know” so then duffy got tired of this magic brick game, so he saw his nans glasses. He put them on and said hey sam remember the famous dance nan would do he did dances until he said “ hey what is that blue thing sam sam sam!!!!!” then he got sucked into the game, sam didnt really notice until she looked at first she thought that he went to the bathroom. Until she saw Duffy in the game she freaked out “ Duffy? What are you doing in there?” duffy said “ uhhh i dont know” “ select your skin.” said the computer voice. “Uhhh ok should i do this pirate skin?” said duffy “ NOOOOO” replied the children. “Umm this chicken one!” “noooooo” said the children. As soon as the next skin came he said “what about this one!” “YESSSSSSS” everyone demanded. So he put on his suit by the way it was abbs. Then he trotted off to seek his adventure in a real life video game. So he was buliding blocks until the dismantler came and recked his tower then all of his book knowlege went down, sam his cousin said “hey Duffy are you ok?” duffy replied “ yea im ok i just need to know where to get out” after he ate a hotdog for more energy. He needed more book knowlege so he asked 8 contestents, lucky for me i got chossen. I was shy, then the puzzler came and messed up our word, which is ok, so after sam and duffy were in a fight so then sam was mocing duffy with nanas glasses, until…… she got sucked into the game, but she had her nanas book duffy and same said “ read! Lets READ!” so they read and read until they found a code named the dumpling. Remember the dance at the start, that's what sort of dance they had to do. But we had to do it with them so we would all get out of the game. Then they said, thanks so much, and then we had someone do the thanking and the the whole school did the school song. The whole thing was amazing and i hope you enjoyed it too.

REFLECTION: I really liked the show, my favourite part was when i got to go up for a volunteer i hope you will enjoy it too.

Explaining netball

WALT: explain in a good way how to play a game  I choose netball have a read you might like it

Netball. Netball is a great sport but do you know how to play it?? Here read this There are two rules I always get mixed up with, that’s stand down and stepping, for some reason stand down is the worst for me because I’m so used to just jumping up in there face in basketball, and snatching the ball off them. That gets taken back to netball. Stand down in netball is when you're too close to the opponent with the ball once the referee says “Stand down” then you have to stand next to the person that had the netball until they pass the ball. But you can't do anything otherwise you would be called stand down again. The other one is stepping, stepping is pretty easy to do without even knowing that you did it. If you jump or walk with the ball you will be called to be “stepping” this means this is automatically the other team's ball. I think everybody knows how to pass but do you know what kinds of passing. Let me tell you a couple of them. The very first one I have known all my life the normal pass I think you know the normal pass too so let's skip that. Uh the next one is bounce passing, this is when you pass but you're passing the ground, so it bounces to your partner. But make the ball bounce a quarter away from their feet. If you are by the goal and you're wanting to pass that is a great time to pass so then you can get the goal. Time for the positions, there are three positions in the year 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. Those positions are attack,defence,and center. Let me tell you about attack first. Attack means that your only allowed in the center and your goal area/quarters, your job is to shoot the ball into your hoop so you get goals!! If you go to the opponent's side and your attack then its automatically there ball from offside. The next position is defence. Defence is like attack but your not allowed in your goal quarter, your allowed in the middle and the opponent’s side but not yours. You have to try to whack the ball or catch the ball when the other team passes to there partner. And last but not least center. Center is allowed to go everywhere except the semi circles by the hoops. Your job is to go in the middle if the other teams scores a goal. There's a circle in the center of the court you go there to pass the ball when the ref or umpire wheels the whistle. Then you pass. If you score you either defend the center or go on the side with the other centers. In each team there is always two attacks,defence and center in every game so you always get to move around with the positions. So everybody knows that there is half’s in basketball but not in netball!! There is 4 quarters in netball 10 minutes of netball then a quick 20 to 30 second break then back on. In total we play for 40 minutes. Not including the breaks.after that we get the player of the day and some treats for participating. Last Saturday I got the player of the day. And a long chocolate bar.

REFLECTION: this was hard very hard to explain and to make it interesting at the same time but in the end i got it right

 There is technology everywhere around the world and we need

to use them I can tell you that. But people use it for social media that leads to danger. Danger means worry and worry means panic! Panic means cry. Like i mean it’s a big cycle that goes around and around That's why you need to stick to the limits of when you're allowed to have social things on your device. I do have a device. And it did damage my eyes and it will damage yours but when does everybody listen to a kid? It won't happen I tell ya that right now so what are you doing on your phone get that away I am making a really good convincing speech. about those little things. I'm


watching you watching youuuuu. I play on it and look what's on my face a pair of glasses. I'm not the only person so I'm proud of saying this! And I know that I love technology but I'm not the bad guy we all have done this buying thing for little girls or boys. Even my little brother has had a phone! Yes a phone but he had it only for a week or 2 he left it outside in the rain that’s what you get when you give a little girl or boy a phone or a tablet. Well i mean they can play on it for entertainment but come on not to keep. That has gone way to far. But besides Buying the little thing that wastes power. Forget it use paper! It's better! The old fashion way of sending letters. Yeh, I know you have to pay a little amount of money at least it's worth it and it's fun doing it. Sending letters for friends family.


Anybody! pretty cool. I think that I'm going to do that this afternoon and plus you get to get all excited when there is a mail package and your mailman or lady gives it to you ohh the butterflies I feel it right now. In conclusion, I love technology but sometimes we need a break and to take some time off it would help the family. You should make sure you DON'T spend as much time as I used to. So come on listen to me just because i'm a kid doesn't mean anything. I can change the world if i was desperate too. So please have at least have a nice drive out to the beach.

 REFLECTION, i didn't do as well as i would usually do, this doesn't  make sense but i hope you try to make it make sense????? i don't know what I'm saying

REFLECTION,it was hard to think of a way to make this interesting and to make it cool so I did unicorns. It was hard to do the Maori because we don't usually do it . Quick question-can you reply to the questions?

Dear Isabel, 

On  behalf of the classes that came I would like to thank you for taking us on that fine day to Whatuwhiwhi. Even though we weren't planning to go there it still was the best. 

My brilliant part of the day was when I saw the golf ball sponge ball with you. I wish I could do it again with you someday. I also liked the way the schools of fish had a lot of detail and letting other fish join in. I even got to see a medium sized snapper! It was pretty fast so I could only see the sand flaming up like a big explosion happened under water.

Experiencing marine reserves By charlize

in Te Kauru we are learning to learn about marine reserves. our teacher has assigned us to talk about  what are marine reserves? and things like that. other than that hope you enjoy my slide about experiencing marine reserves.

beach education day.

We were waiting with joy and excitement. Yay! The bus. We jumped on zoomed off. Well really slowly zoomed off. To entertain  us we had  a sing off. We started off singing normally then the boys sang. What do we do?? Quickly! Ummmm wrecking ball. We sang it soooo loud. I little while later we were at ahipara YAY!!!!!! That took forever!. When we were at our destination there were lifeguards. There names were Val, Emma,Liam and Ari. they introduced the place and then we drove off to the beach. We had to split up  into 2 groups. They helped us so we wouldn’t make a hullabaloo. My group had Ari and Emma first. We had to go in to pairs. We had a normal amount so we had about 20 in each group. We had a big swim and then got changed. “ we are exhausted”  so we were on the bus and then basically everyone was asleep. Especially me. Yay were home!

report on marine animals

snappers are salt water fish. They are yummy to eat in many ways like raw, fried and cooked, especially beer battered. Yummy! But not really  Anyway hope you enjoy my amazing and interacting report!

HABITAT

The most common place where you would find a snapper is the North Island of New Zealand. There are some in Matai Bay and Goat island to swim free wherever they want because they are protected. Some other species of snapper are also found in different countries for example Mexico.


POPULATION
The snappers are decreasing from the level of people catching them. There are now a limit on how much fish, including snapper you are allowed to catch for your whanau. The limit for snapper to catch  for your whanau is nine or seven. And it has to be exactly 30 cm or more If there smaller then they might still be babies. 



BREEDING
Red snapper can lay over 75 million eggs in each breeding season which is from june the 11th to july the 12th And a  small red snapper can lay over 7 million eggs in there  breeding season which is the same as the normal red snapper   



PREDATORS
Snapper are hunted by sharks, predatory fish such as barracuda, mackerel, king fish, grouper, and of course humans. Humans are the worst predators for snapper. They usually get caught by humans mainly. Some humans get way way too much  snappers which leaves a little bit for the next person who wants to have the right amount of snapper for their whanau but instead they get about one or two. Please stay  by the limit. Sharing is caring


DIET
Snappers usually eat sea worms  sea eggs squid , shrimp, octopus invertebrates and even land animals! 


IN CONCLUSION

Technique: The side stroke. How to do it: Side stroke is really easy once you get to know it. First what you need to do is put one hand on your ear and one hand out. Now your legs. What you need to do with your legs are doing scissor kick. It’s like doing the high jump kick. And that’s how to do side stroke. Charlize

Speed boats

Yay we're in group one I wonder what we're going to do first? I’m guessing the actual tour but then… they directed : can group one come over to put your safety gear on. “ I wonder what we're doing?” They told us that we are going on the boats I thought to myself “ why do they have to be yellow ? and super slow!” but then… it was a speed boat! I was astonished. When I got on the boat we drifted off, it felt like a racing car speeding across the water. When we did sharp turns it was outstanding! I loved it. We did a couple of donuts. Then we had to go back up so we pulled against the current and flew up to get back on the boat that was the enjoyable experience of my life!
